What is the cutting speed range of Belt Cutting Machine?

Publish Time: 2024-10-02
1. Basic range of cutting speed

Belt Cutting Machine has a wide range of cutting speeds. Generally speaking, the cutting speed of manual belt cutting machine is relatively slow, about 0.1-1m/min. This speed mainly depends on the manual operation ability and rhythm of the operator. The speed of electric belt cutting machine is faster, and its speed range is roughly from 1-10m/min. However, this is only a very wide range, and the actual cutting speed will fluctuate within this range due to many factors.

2. The influence of belt material on cutting speed

Belts of different materials require different cutting speeds. For example, for common rubber belts, the cutting speed can be relatively fast because rubber has certain elasticity and toughness. When cutting ordinary rubber belts, the speed of electric belt cutting machine can reach 3-8m/min. But if it is a rubber composite belt with reinforcing structure such as steel wire, in order to ensure that the internal structure is not damaged during cutting, the cutting speed will be reduced to 1-3m/min. As for leather belts, due to the special fiber structure of leather, the cutting speed is usually slower, generally around 0.3 - 1.5 m/min, to ensure the flatness of the cut and avoid tearing.

3. Relationship between belt thickness and cutting speed

The thickness of the belt is an important factor affecting the cutting speed. Thinner belts, such as those with a thickness of 1 - 3 mm, are relatively easy to cut and can be cut faster. The electric Belt Cutting Machine can reach a speed of 5 - 10 m/min when cutting such thin belts. As the thickness of the belt increases, the cutting speed drops significantly. When the belt thickness reaches 10 - 20 mm, the cutting speed may be reduced to 0.1 - 0.5 m/min due to the need for greater cutting force to ensure the stability and cutting quality of the cutting process and prevent excessive wear of the tool.

4. Cutting machine power and cutting speed

The power of the cutting machine will also affect the cutting speed. A high-power Belt Cutting Machine can provide stronger cutting power and maintain a relatively high cutting speed when cutting thicker or harder belts. For example, a high-power electric belt cutting machine with a power of more than 5 kW can reach a speed of 4 to 8 m/min when cutting a medium-thick (3 to 10 mm) rubber belt. A low-power cutting machine may only reach a speed of 2 to 4 m/min when cutting the same belt. However, when a high-power cutting machine is cutting a thin belt, the speed needs to be carefully controlled to avoid damaging the belt due to excessive cutting force.
